Here is a really original example of a silver shadow. Finished in old ivory with black and red finelines to the waist-rails and beauty rings. The interior has strong contrasting ebony connolly hides with matching wilton carpets throughout. The same ebony theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested original presenting example that has been maintained by a rolls-royce enthusiast and collector with the car taken to many shows and displays. The body on this silver shadow is very straight and the paint is shiny and lustrous. The car still sports 90% of its original paint. It does display some of the typical paint cracking in the lead-wiping areas of the car (a & c pillars) which is common to not a few, but all original silver shadows. (rolls-royce used a process of 'lead-wiping" to join body panels, so with the different metallurgic properties of lead, steel, and aluminium, the over-lying paint would fracture in these places). It needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The interior of this silver shadow looks close to perfect. The black connolly hide leather is 100% original from the factory. It has never been re-dyed and is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and very supple and soft – true to its connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The white-wall michelin 225/75 15 tyres are a very period touch. Although old, they have plenty of tread and ride smoothly. The hubcaps are excellent with no noticeable imperfections. All remaining bright-work is in good condition.

Seller's comments and description: turquoise 1965 ford f-100(custom cab)i am 51 years old this year! I was “born” in dallas, tx at the ford plant in 1965 and was owned by one person until 1981. In 1981 i went to live in kentucky with a man who owned a rolls royce dealership. He took very good care of me andbegan keeping records of all my maintenance. In 2010, i went to live with a new owner in gettysburg, pa. My new owner made sure that i was always taken care ofand anytime i needed something, he would use nos (new old stock) parts every chance he could. Like my prior owner,he kept me all original. In 2014, my gettysburg owner decided he wanted a 1941 indian motorcycle more than he wanted me so, we broke up. I have all of my original paint with some "patina", too. I'm not completely perfect, but darn near!! My interiorand upholstery are all original and in stellar condition. Bed (an upgrade at the time), a 352 v8engine (1965 was the first year for this engine) and my original am radio and speaker (also an upgrade at the time)work great. I have my original gas cap (these often get lost) and my lighter works, too. I have a standardtransmission with 3 on the tree. I do not have power steering or power brakes. In 2014 i got 5 brand new coker bias-ply radial tires. Recently, my 51 year old exhaust systemwas replaced. It was hand forged to fit me just right, but is exactly like my original system. Also, i have hadthe driver’s side of my manifold replaced. Neither of these items were numbered. I often go to car/truck shows and have won several trophies and plaques (these come with me - i'm proud of them). I have even been invited to be in 2 movies, but could never make the schedule work. I have been in christmasparades and homecoming parades as well. I still feel like a teenager and my original, low mileage reflects it. I’m a much loved survivor and every person in my path hasloved me and taken really good care of me. I have spent very little time exposed to the elements. I'm a trulyspecial, unmolested piece of history. I come with a box of old maintenance books, original paint chips and an entire extra bolt of interior nos fabric. It looks like my very first owner put farm mirrors on me. It think my second owner did not like them and removedthem and put the smaller side mirrors on (which would have also been accurate for my production year and anavailable option). Seller's Comments and Description: iving in a protected garage facility, this particular convertible is very intact and free from most rust and other defects that are frequently found on these models, that have not been as well cared for. When we drove the car, to shoot the pictures, it started right up, ran great, shifted as designed and steered and stopped with little to no effort.
